OK, I have tried to find the answer on the web site. I have tried to call (but waited for like 10 min on hold). I have two programs (one at 1PM on channel 54, and the other on at 2PM on channel 5). However each of these shows only get recorded for 2 min and 57 seconds. I have tried to only record one, and not the other. That still did not work. I have tried not to record the shows for a few days and start over. That does not work. I have tried so many combinations to fix this problem, nothing seems to work. It only seems to be these two programs. I know in the past,and still now (not with these two programs) you can record up to two programs at one time. SO this is not a problem of overlapping porgrams. I am just so confused and have no idea what is up. does anyone else have a DVR with Comcast Cable? Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I am very concerned about an email that was sent out telling people not to send care packages....Please understand that the Red Cross does not want you sending care packages to THE RED CROSS. They need money. So if you can donate to the Red Cross...please do so.

As for Care Packages...

If you are in the South...please contact your Chamber of Commerce to find out what you can do to help! We live in Eufaula, Alabama and we have hundreds of people with more coming in. People are being evacuated from the Hurricane disaster areas and being relocated to surrounding towns. Eufaula is one of them. Until the Red Cross can get a handle on the MILLIONS of people that are in need...then people need to chip in and lend a hand - if you are able.

If you can send care packages to surrounding areas...please do so. Care packages do not have to be heavy...light items are need too.

If you would like to help in this area...please contact me.

People are in need of things you take for granted everyday. Anything and everything is fully appreciated. They do have a place to put these items...due to our hotels and motels letting them stay free and a man in Clayton Alabama opening up apartments that are empty for people to stay and families in town opening up there doors to take people in.

So unless you are experiencing the growing number of needs first hand....you have no idea what people are facing and needing. I have phone numbers of many of these people in the hotels and motels if you would like to call them and let them tell you for themselves.

Oh Chandra, I am so sorry this has happen to you. I also heard the plea from the red cross and I think whomever started the email about packages just misunderstood what they said. They just asked that you do not send care packages to them, which is totally understandable since they are not sure exactly what is needed or have places to store stuff that will be needed down the line. But for you, as always, to go out of your way to help those in your area that had to leave their homes is a wonderful thing. The red cross wants money, well some of us just don't have that to give but can help with other things. Hats off to you girlfriend!!! And everyone else who has been helping. Due to the recent happenings caused by Hurricane Katrina--I have signed up for and am helping organize a Fundraiser this Saturday! It's called: I CARE WALK--Hurricane Katrina Relief Fundraising Effort!

I am currently asking for sponsors to pledge/make a donation to help this worthy cause!

I will be walking 6 miles! The minimum donation amount is $1 per mile--only $6 minimum pledge/donation! OK, it sounds odd. But I was thinking of holding our All-State Pageant at the zoo. No, it wont be in the petting area. They have events rooms for weddings, dinners,a nd so on. I was thinking of holding it in one of those. I asked in the chat room and everyone thought it was a cool idea. But I wanted to get a better idea from more people.

There will be dressing rooms, outlets for hair products, bathrooms, etc. I was going to have a host hotel for the interviews (and possibly discounted rooms for those who need them). Plus each contestant (and 1 chaparone) will get a ticket to see the zoo (during intermission and what not).

I am also working with the zoo (they know this is something I am looking at) to have a sleep over at the zoo. It is something they offer to 80 kids every once and a while at the zoo. I have asked about holding one for the pageant kids. (If all tickets are purchased ahead of time so they know it woudl be full).

So would you come to an All-State Pageant with great prizes at the zoo?

OK, the zoo fell through so I am now looking for more creative places to hold a pageant.

We have a wonderful hotel and casino real close to my house. It is awesome. The rooms are large, and the service is great.

They have a large events hall that would be perfect for our all-state pageant.

But woudl you want to attend a pageant that happends to have a casino (and shuttles to a larger casino) in it. We would also have a fun night on the Friday of competition. We would have a slumberparty for all the girls (even the little ones) and moms can go enjoy a night out at the casino.

Looking for opinions.
